Fo lai Ping Vegetarian Fast Food (佛来品素食快餐)

This stall has been around for so long as I can remember. It is located at the Changi Airport Terminal 1 staff canteen. Hence if you were to take a budget flight overseas, you may stop by for a meal before flying, since there is no meals available on the plane except for overpriced vegetarian cup noodles. I tried the food here recently before flying to Bangkok.

Yee Mee $3.50
A really big portion and the comprises of vegetables, mushrooms, carrots and some mock items. It isnt too salty and can be shared by two if you are a small eater.

The stall also sells other tze char like fried rice, kway tiao etc. The dishes for mixed vegetables rice is not bad too! Nonetheless, all our airport terminals do have vegetarian stalls available, hence you need not travel all the way here if you are going to catch a flight in other terminals.

Location: Airport Boulevard,
Changi Airport Terminal 1,
Upper Basement Canteen
Stall #05,
Tel: 65457024
Opening Hours: Till 8PM

Cai Gen Xiang Vegetarian Cusine (菜根香素食) - *CLOSED*

Both Outlets are CLOSED. The Yishun one has been replaced by Zi Zai~

Thanks clare sis for the contribution.. guess I will never go there since I don't have a car... Anyway, finally there are some posts for good places in the Northen side of Singapore.
Here's Cai Gen Xiang Vegetarian Cusine. Not sure when it was opened, but the cafe looks clean and trendy.

Hot Plate Sambal Prawn SGD 7
This dish was fried with sambal, prawn and celery. Quite a spicy dish.

Sambal Kang Kong SGD 5
Sort of regretted ordering this as both dishes are hot.. Hence, it didn't bring much taste to our buds after trying the sambal prawns which were spicier. Still not too bad. A little bland and sambal chilli not as fantastic as Victoria Street (Yuan Xiang) Sambal chilli Kang Kong.

Fish Slice Soup SGD 4

Believed they use the same soup for their fish head bee hoon.Soup is mixed with carnation milk, 4 small slices of fish, small cubes of tofu and lots of chye sim. So if you are a vegan, i reckon you may request for non-milk soup. Overall taste still alright.

There are also catering services available from this cafe. I guess I would definitely try it if I do visit Yishun or Changi Airport some day. Thanks for your contribution sis!

Yuan Xiang Vegetarian (园香素食)

The other day me and the girls had a gathering.. and I brought them to this stall at bugis for a good meal. Yuan Xiang has been around for quite some time and one of their famous dishes is the Salad Prawns.

Salad Prawns
Crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. The girls favourite. Fran commented that it tastes like the real one. hehehe. Not suitable for people on diet though.
Black Pepper Udon

This is the best Black pepper Udon I have tried so far. The black pepper taste is just right and it is not too spicy as well. Serving is also enough for 2.

Mee Goreng

As compared to the Udon, there are more ingredients in this plate of mee goreng. However, taste wise is just so-so. Perhaps it is becos we ate the more tasty black pepper noodles first. Nonetheless, if you eat this alone, it is really good as well.

Sweet and Sour Abalone Mushroom

This dish in chinese is called 世界名片。The abalone mushroom are fried and then cooked with sweet and sour sauce. I love it cos its crispy too!

Spicy Soup

Really Spicy. If you have a weak stomach, avoid this. I like it as there are many ingredients in this soup.

Kang Kong

You might see me ordering this dish everytime. Simply bcos i love it. However, I think Green Connection sells the best dish so far.

Overall, Yuan Xiang has been in the market for years and they have opened 4 outlets so far. Hence, they do have a big variety of dishes available for all. Cost wise I believe is affordable to all, we ordered 2 noodles and 4 dishes this time round and it costs a total of $36, which is $9 per person and we could not finish everything.
